Tour de Kitchen Garden

While we wait for the Tour to pass the city, we warm up with a tour of the Royal Kitchen Garden in Gråsten. Where is the royal household supplied from when the residence is at Gråsten Castle? And have you heard of the Gråsten apple?

In 2020, the Royal Kitchen Garden was renovated and opened to the public. On the tour you will get a good insight into the Kitchen Garden. The guide tells about its history, as well as the new perspectives. Among other things, you will also hear about the kitchen garden's sustainable cultivation of herbs, vegetables and berries and fruits, as well as about the symmetry of the landscaping and the site's operating model, which is based on social inclusion in a collaboration with "Væksthuset".

The area is suitable for people with walking difficulties. Max. 25 participants per team. Duration 1 hour in 1 language. Ca. 1½ hours if the tour is conducted in 2 languages.

Please stay informed for closed roads and parking lot closures these days. A longer walk to the Kitchen Garden must be expected.
