Weekend break at Sønderjysk Kagefestival
Take a weekend break in Tønder to eat your way through the traditional spread of cakes and coffee that is peculiar to Sønderjylland and spend a night or two at Hostrups Hotel in the centre of the town.
On Saturday 29 April 2023 from 11.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m., the centre of Tønder will once again provide the setting for Denmark’s sweetest festival – Sønderjysk Kagefestival.
In this package, you can look forward to the opportunity to eat your way through the 21 cakes that are served at the traditional cake buffet and stay overnight in the heart of Tønder at Hostrups Hotel.
In addition to the huge variety of traditional cakes that make up the focal point of Sønderjysk Kagefestival, you can also experience music, storytelling and various competitions. These include the Danish Championships in Brödtorte, where bakers compete to produce the best Brödtorte, which is a layer cake made from rye bread.
Hostrups Hotel is situated in the heart of Tønder and is within walking distance of Sønderjysk Kagefestival. Parking is available at the hotel. Check-in is from 3.00 p.m., with check-out until 11.00 a.m.
Depending on whether you arrive in Tønder on Friday or Saturday, you can choose between 1 or 2 nights at Hostrups Hotel in the booking module.
The tickets for Sønderjysk Kagefestival can either be sent to you or you can pick them up when you arrive at the hotel. If you wish to have them sent to you, then select only 1x postage in the booking module, regardless of how many tickets you order.
