Taste the Marsh

In the event that poor weather prevents us from visiting the Wadden Sea, we have exciting alternatives on offer back at the former dikemaster’s estate at Klægager.
We meet at Klægager at 11.00 a.m. on 18th October, after which – with Christian as our guide – you drive in your own car to the beach at Koldby Strand to pick and taste oysters. If the weather isn’t conducive to spending time on the tidal flats, however, the trip will be replaced by another activity.

We’ll then return to Klægager, where lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Here you’ll have the chance to taste pickled eggs accompanied by schnapps, enjoy a hot stew with vegetables and leg of lamb, as well as trying salmon and prawns from the islands of Fanø and Rømø respectively. We finish the day with coffee and biscuits.

During the course of the day we’ll entertain you with stories – some funny, some exciting and others simply curious – as well as giving you a guided tour of the estate. If there’s enough time, we’ll even have the chance to sing together.

This event will take place on 18th October from 11.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m. It comes as a complete package that costs DKK 375 per person excl. drinks. Deadline for registration is 12:00 p.m. on Thursday 12th October.
