Hejsager Strand - C2001

Located beside the charming Lillebelt Sound, the attractive region contains some of Denmark’s most fascinating countryside. The coastline is well suited to water sports, fishing or simply relaxing on the beach or bathing in the sea. Inland, you will swathes of extensive woodland and areas of natural beauty that are well suited to both walking and cycling trips. While this region is rich in reminders of bygone days, it also boasts plenty of modern sights and attractions – not least, the charming towns of Kolding and Haderslev, both of which offer plenty to do for the visitor. Kolding’s attractions include Koldinghus Castle, the Trapholt Art Museum the Geographical Gardens – home to some 2,000 species of trees and shrubs - and Kolding Model Village. The historical market town of Haderslev is full of genuine Danish ’hygge’ (cosiness) which can be felt in the town itself, the charming green parks and the lush local countryside.
