Life at the Mill

The Dybbøl Mill opens its doors on Saturday, 29 September 2018. On this day, you can experience diverse activities as preparations for winter have to be done. Try on your own how the newly harvested crops should be ground and how beer and snaps are brewed from them.

Also, the slaughtered animals’ meat needs to be salted and smoked. Learn how the mill works and what actually happened to the mill in the battle of 18 April 1864. All this and more can be experienced in the mill and the area around.

For once we also open the doors to the private apartment next to the mill. Here you can meet the miller’s wife who welcomes you with not only coffee and cake but also stories about the life at the old mill.

Opening hours: Saturday, 29 September 2018, 10.00 – 16.00

Admission: 60 DKK for adults, 30 DKK for children

Practical information: Remember to bring a warm jacket as, to some extent, the event takes place outside. Dogs are welcome.
