Det Sønderjyske Køkken

Det Sønderjyske Køkken (The Southern Jutlandic Kitchen) is a cafe and restaurant that is founded on the spirit of Southern Jutland. We build a bridge between the culture-historical kitchen and present day.

Our food is inspired by the traditional Southern Jutlandic kitchen. A food culture that is defined by an area that has been influenced by several wars and different borders.

Historically a kitchen that includes many vegetables, as everyone had their own vegetable garden and meat was very expensive. We aim at using mainly organic, seasonal products and preferably from local producers.

Starter: Free-range goat on creamy pearled spelt with green salad. Accompanied by homemade bread made from Øland wheat (goat meat may be subject to change when booking, but we promise that it’ll taste fantastic).
Main course: Pan-fried rabbit from Mjanghøj with seasoned potato and red wine sauce (rabbit meat may be subject to change when booking, but we promise that it’ll taste fantastic)
Dessert: Alternative Southern Jutland tiramisu
