Coffee and Cake – The Southern Jutlandic Way at Gram Castle
This Southern Jutlandic tradition started in the 1870s and became a trademark for this part of Denmark in the years up to 1920. During this period Southern Jutland belonged to Germany and there was only few possibilities for ‘being Danish’ together with fellow countrymen. Thus, the gatherings around the traditional afternoon tea and coffee became popular.
